Andi-Co Australia National Training Academy

November 2015 and the second National Training Academy has been successfully completed at Andi-Co Australia head office and showroom in Oakleigh Melbourne. Retailers flown in from across Australia were treated to boutique accommodation at the Adelphi Hotel, Little Flinders lane Melbourne which was just the beginning of their three day experience with Falcon cooking, Liebherr Refrigeration and Wine Cellars.



Andi-Co have made a commitment to their customers, Australia’s retailers, to focus on product education and information in an enjoyable, interactive, productive environment. Andi-Co wishes to ensure that consumers are given accurate and up-to date information on Falcon and Liebherr to enable them to make an informed decision about their purchase.

The National Training Academy is a certificated training program focused on hands on and interactive involvement for retails from all over Australia. At the culmination of the academy we proudly present selected retailers as brand ambassadors for Falcon and Liebherr appliances.

National Training Academy
Day 1 Retailers fly into Melbourne airport and are transferred by coach to their hotel where they are also joined by participants from Victorian retailers.

Meeting up with the Andi-Co team in the hotel lobby they are transferred to the restaurant for the first get together. Due to the German heritage of Liebherr the evening is spent meeting and sharing tall stories at the Munich Brauhaus, South Wharf.

Day 2 All participants travel to Andi-Co Australia showroom in Oakleigh with a warm welcome and introduction from the National Training Manager. Falcon cooking training begins with an historic look through the companies 185 year history. The much anticipated part of the days training is having fun cooking whilst experiencing the use of the Falcon upright freestanding range cookers in the spacious culinary centre. Participants don their Falcon aprons and after being given ingredients and recipes spend the next few hours preparing and cooking a sumptuous lunch for the whole group.

Once lunch has been eagerly consumed and the participants have cleaned down we are treated to a wine appreciation class. Local sommeliers, wine educators and highly experienced and respected wine experts Josh Elias and Raúl Moreno Yagüe from Alquimie magazine remove the mysteries behind wine and wine cellaring by tasting a variety of wines with various foods such as chocolate, cheeses, meats etc. The participants are given a better understanding of what their customer needs to know about Liebherr wine cellars. “DO YOU HAVE AN INTEREST IN WINE?” is the catch phrase of the afternoon and how to best to qualifying their customer’s needs.

After an enjoyable day of learning, cooking and “TASTING” wine the participants return to their hotel for a short rest before venturing out again for day two’s entertainment. In keeping with the theme of Falcon being a British company since 1830, the group enjoys fine dining and the best views of Melbourne inner suburbs aboard Melbourne’s British heritage The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant before returning to their hotel to rest and recuperate ready for the third and final day of the academy.

Day 3 After checking out of their hotel the group boards the coach bound for Andi-Co and the final training session. Liebherr refrigeration and Liebherr wine cellars are our focus today and the training is all about points of difference and what sets Liebherr apart from others. With presentations and explanations of Liebherr’s stainless steel freestanding, fully integrated, under bench and inbuilt range the group then moves on to Liebherr wine cellars as a continuation of our wine appreciation course from day two.

After a presentation to the participants of their certificates and a ‘show bag’ full of Falcon and Liebherr goodies the group board the coach for their return home. As a result of The National Training Academy we hope that when they return to their individual showrooms they will look forward to greeting their customers more confident and better informed about Falcon and Liebherr.
